BeSquared Thought – Job Search ‘mini thought’

Some people don’t understand why I get excited just over having an interview. Others are perplexed by the fact that my family stands steadfastly behind me as I go through this process. Some people want to judge me, others want to give advice and expect me to follow it without doing my own due diligence. To each person the job search is different, their joy comes from all types of motivations. I just get happy with an interview…but I know when the day comes when an opportunity that I am very much excited about comes my way, I will be even happier.

The role of my website, BrandonBellamy.com is still very unclear at times. I believe that part of it is to try to effectively brand myself as an up and coming practical scholar that hopes to become apart of the workforce very soon. Another side believes that I need to begin writing again my own brand of commentary about the issues that our communities are facing, especially higher education in the African American Community. Either way, until I find my purpose and structure for how this site will work, I will still write. Today I’m being inspired by commentary on the PCAR initiative at Howard and the role of African-American fathers via two different twitter conversations I had this morning.
